Parker Smith Inclusion are proud to be working in partnership with a warm, inclusive specialist school in Harlow, committed to supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and adaptable Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025, on either a permanent or temp to perm basis, depending on preference.
🧮 About the Role:
This is a full-time position teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to a second subject area depending on your interests and experience.
Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to small class groups (typically 6–10 pupils)

Supporting individual learning needs in collaboration with teaching assistants and the wider team

Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils to foster trust, self-confidence and re-engagement
-
Managing behaviour positively, using trauma-informed and therapeutic strategies
-
Contributing to a second subject area (e.g. science, sport, or the arts), if desired

Playing a role in the continued growth and development of the school, with future opportunities for progression

✅ The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths at secondary level
-
A calm, reflective, and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour support
-
Passion for inclusive education and a genuine desire to make a difference

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
Experience working with pupils with SEMH or in alternative provision (desirable but not essential)

A second subject specialism or interest (e.g. PE, Science, Art) would be an advantage
