About the Role

Science Teacher – Specialist Provision
A school where your teaching truly transforms lives.

Location: North West London
Salary: In line with the Outer London Teaching Pay Scale
Contract: Temp-to-Perm | Start Date: September

As a Science Teacher, you're constantly thinking about the students whose lives you're impacting every day. You're planning lessons that inspire, managing behaviours that challenge, and striving to create an environment where students can re-engage with their education and believe in their own potential.

Your deep knowledge of Science, combined with an understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs, allows you to bring creativity, structure, and empathy into the classroom. And while the job has its challenges, you find the role deeply fulfilling.

…but maybe it’s time to also think about you. Your environment. Your impact. Your future.

Perhaps you are frustrated with large class sizes prohibiting you from making a real impact on pupils who require more bespoke learning and nurture. It might be time to consider moving your skills to a specialist setting?

This school, a specialist provision based in North London, offers education and therapeutic support to students aged 11–19 who are not currently thriving in mainstream settings. Whether they’ve experienced exclusion, trauma, anxiety, or complex needs, this school is built around the belief that with the right support, every young person can succeed.

Their class sizes are small, and the support is immense, allowing you to focus on quality over quantity. The team includes therapeutic professionals and SEN experts, and they work as one to ensure that every student’s wellbeing and learning go hand in hand.

You would be delivering Science across KS3 to KS5, including GCSE and A-Level, helping students re-engage with academic study and develop confidence in their abilities. You’ll have access to excellent resources and the autonomy to create a curriculum that excites and challenges. Most importantly, you’ll have the time, support, and space to teach in the way you always hoped was possible.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across secondary age groups, tailored to students' needs
  • Teach GCSE and A-Level Science in a nurturing environment
  • Act as a form tutor/key teacher, supporting students' academic and emotional development
  • Collaborate with therapists, teachers, and leadership to uphold high standards for learning and wellbeing
  • Use assessments and adaptive teaching to drive progress

Who We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with the ability to teach Science at secondary level
  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Science, your experience can be within mainstream, but you will need to have some experience teaching Autistic pupils
  • A nurturing, inclusive teacher committed to every student’s progress
  • Someone who values team collaboration and is driven to make a difference

Head of Marketing – SEND Recruitment – Salary £50,000 Shenfield/London Inspiring those who teach those most in need is a job full of passion and purpose. Parker Smith Inclusion was built on an ethical business model of transparency, honesty and respect. Since launching over 4 years ago, we have been surprised by how quickly and openly our message has been received by so many schools and candidates. We are not a business of high pressure sales calls. We do not sacrifice quality for quantity. And we are most definitely not a business who will surrender our core values for a deal. Yes, we do have high standards. It is why we are so successful. We have superb processes and embed the very best habits. Our teams work hard…by choice. They know the importance of what they are doing and they want to support as many people as they can. We encourage everyone to think for themselves and help shape how we get better at what we do. Our fees are transparent and do not look to stretch spending where financial pressures are already squeezing schools. It is fair. It is honest. And it works. We are now looking for a recruitment marketing expert to join us on our journey. Someone who understands that marketing is about data as much as it is design; that ROI and event management are partners; that a website’s value sits in traffic funnels and that AI is a partner not a replacement. You will be a senior member of the team, helping shape our message so that we reach as many SEND schools and potential staff as we need to in order to fulfil our vision. We have a powerful brand. We feel we need to have a powerful marketing manager working with us to create a platform of engagement. You will be on your own recruitment marketing journey already.
