Outreach Tutor - Kingston and Richmond

Are you passionate about making a difference in young lives? We are seeking committed and compassionate Outreach Tutor to join our dynamic team, supporting children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education.

Location: Kingston Upon Thames and Richmond Upon Thames
Contract: Full Time, Long term and term time only: 8:30am - 4pm
Salary: £110 - £130 PAYE (Pay As You Earn) 

About the Role:

As an Outreach Tutor, you’ll provide 1:1 or small group tuition for learners who are out of school due to mental health, behavioural, or other complex needs. Working flexibly across home and community settings, you'll deliver tailored, engaging sessions that reignite confidence, spark learning, and help re-integrate pupils into suitable education pathways. These students will have social and emotional needs, anxiety, trauma, Autism, and SEMH, so a mentoring and structured approach is key. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons across primary and secondary key stages (primarily English and Maths).

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with students and their families.

  • Work collaboratively with schools, social workers, and educational psychologists.

  • Track and report on progress, adapting learning to meet changing needs.

 About You:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Tutoring/Teaching experience: English, Maths, Humanities etc

  • Understands the challenges faced by vulnerable or SEND learners.

  • Is empathetic, resilient, and solution-focused.

  • Can work independently and manage a flexible caseload.
