We are seeking dedicated and compassionate tutors to deliver 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged students across Essex, many of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and mental health challenges that make accessing mainstream education difficult.
✏️ The Role:
Deliver individualised, one-to-one tuition sessions in the community (not school-based)
Support students with a wide range of needs, including anxiety, autism, ADHD, and other SEMH challenges
Help re-engage learners by focusing on both academic progress and emotional well-being
Create a calm, consistent, and encouraging environment that builds trust and confidence
Track progress and adapt sessions to meet individual learning styles and goals
👤 What We’re Looking For:
Experience in tutoring, teaching, or supporting students with SEN/SEMH (desirable but not essential)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Must have access to a car and be willing to travel locally for outreach sessions
