Autism Resource Provision (ARP) Learning Support Assistant Hackney PAYE Payments only £90 - £95 per day Full time, Mon - Fri (Term time only) A MS Primary school based in the heart of Hackney, Clapton are opening a brand new autism resource provision due to the ever growing need for support for children with SEN in Hackney. A provision is created for children that cannot thrive in a mainstream classes therefore can learning from an adapted curriculum to meet their needs within a private space, the classes are usually 5 - 10 students at one. Depending on the children's needs the curriculum are usually focusing on phonics, sensory learning, learning through play, bucket time, colourful semantics and numbers. This school prides themselves on their inclusivity and encourage all children to be engaged in all aspects of the school to reach their best potential, with renovated large classrooms that are well resourced. PRU Teacher - Newham Are you passionate about teaching students who are unable to access mainstream education? Pupil Referral Unit - PRU Teacher We are looking for a PRU Teacher for a PRU based in Newham. The school caters for students who are unable to access mainstream education, with students on long and short term placements. The school has fantastic facilities including lots of outdoor space and educate children and young people who for many reasons cannot access any other formal educational settings – these are the most vulnerable, at risk and hard to reach in our community. SEMH Teacher PRU & SEMH School Settings East London September 25 start Currently a mainstream teacher but don't feel you're able to engage with all your students? Have a nurture approach but struggle to get this across is a large setting? Thrive off working with children that struggle with social, emotional and mental health needs? Working as an SEMH Teacher takes a special type of person, they require resilience, composure, creativity, consistency and the ability to adapt quickly. The students you'll be supporting will have most likely come from trauma, be involved with multi-agencies such as CAMHs, social services and therefore may not have a lot of trust in adults meaning you could be their key person and this is why consistency and being there to count on is the main factor of this role, trust could take a long time to build but seconds to break if you do not safeguard these children correctly. Classes will consist of maximum 8 students with support staff on hand, learning will consist of practical and/or written lesson plans, you need to be creative and engaging to keep the children's attention.
