About the Role
Primary SENCo
East London
January Start
A wonderful and diverse school in East London is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated SENCo to join their warm, welcoming, and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
In this role, you will have one day per week of teaching responsibilities, allowing you to model outstanding classroom practice and work collaboratively with staff to embed high-quality provision across the school. The school has a large cohort of pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs, all of whom benefit from the support of a skilled and experienced team of specialist SEND practitioners. These professionals work closely with the SENCo to deliver targeted interventions, personalised support plans, and nurturing pastoral care.
The Senior Leadership Team is deeply involved in the day-to-day running of the school. They are approachable, forward-thinking, and operate with a genuine open-door ethos. Their supportive leadership culture ensures that staff feel valued, listened to, and empowered in their roles.
This is an excellent time to join the school, particularly as annual reviews were successfully completed during the Autumn term, allowing the new SENCo to begin with clear, up-to-date documentation and a well-established support system. The school is committed to ongoing professional development and offers a positive, inclusive environment where staff and pupils alike can thrive.
If you are enthusiastic about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with SEND, and you are looking to join a school that celebrates diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, this role offers an exceptional opportunity.
