About the Role
Psychology Graduate – SEN Teaching Assistant
Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey
Full-time | £85–£98 per day | Immediate or May Half-Term Start | Long-Term Ongoing into September
Are you a psychology graduate with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Are you looking to build experience in a specialist school setting?
We are working with an outstanding specialist school that supports children and young people with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, severe learning difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and creative team that makes a real difference every day.
What to expect from the role:
- Full-time, long-term position (8:30am – 4:00pm), ideal for graduates seeking meaningful experience before further training or study
- Supporting pupils with additional needs in a specialist setting
- Contributing to creative, sensory-based, and therapeutic learning activities
- Assisting with personal care and hydrotherapy sessions (full training provided)
- Working closely with experienced SEN professionals and therapists
- Opportunities for progression within education, therapy, or psychology-related fields
What we’re looking for:
- Psychology graduates (or similar) with a strong interest in SEND
- Passion, patience, and resilience – previous personal experience is highly valued
- Confident individuals who are willing to get involved, including supporting personal care and hydrotherapy
- Creative minds are welcome – Drama graduates and actors are encouraged to apply
- A genuine commitment to supporting children with complex needs
