This is an incredible opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Psychology graduate to gain hands-on experience working in a specialist educational setting. Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with special schools across Newham, supporting students aged 4–19 with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and complex medical needs.

The Role:

  • Full-time, long-term role (term-time only)

  • Supporting students with a variety of needs both in and out of the classroom

  • Working alongside experienced professionals: teachers, therapists, and inclusion staff

  • Helping students engage with learning, build independence, and develop life skills

  • Tailored support for students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)

About You:

  • A recent Psychology graduate or related field

  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach

  • A desire to pursue a career in a related field such as educational psychology, clinical psychology, OT or SALT

  • Experience with SEN (personal or professional) is highly desirable but not essential – training is provided!
