Primary SEMH school 

Residential Care Officer

Full time - Term Time only 

Split days of 7:30am – 9:30am, 2:30pm – 8:30pm

 

Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, We are working with a fantastic SEMH school who are seeking a Residential Care Officer to support their children, they all have educational statements and need your help to encourage and help them to achieve their full potential. This school is a residential setting and has been taken over by a well-regarded Trust. They are looking for a nurturing individual to join their team of fantastic staff who work together to create a family feel; with their small class sizes and shared mealtimes, I know you will agree with us that they are exceeding expectations, and the school does feel like a family.  

 

Does this sound like somewhere you would love to work as a Residential Care Officer 

  • Working with individual students to develop their social, emotional and behavioural skills 
  • Being responsible for the safety of the children, making sure they have a secure but stimulating setting where they can be involved in not only education but also leisure activities  
  • Counsel the students in personal and social skills, including health, hygiene, domestic protocol and relationships 
  • Accompany children to various required visits such as Doctors, Shopping trips, Dentist etc 
  • Observe the students and write reports to notify any required information 
  • Individual houses for students to live in Monday-Friday – with fully customised bedrooms and kitchens to create an independent and family feel
  • Academic timetable during the day with designated time in the evenings for activities such as swimming, bowling, cinema, sports etc
  • Excellent modern facilities, including a recording studio and music equipment, onsite swimming pool, and a private farm which students can enjoy
