Residential Care Officer – SEMH School (Chelmsford)
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Split Shift: 7:30am–9:30am & 2:30pm–9:00pm

We are currently seeking a Residential Care Officer to join an outstanding team that goes above and beyond to support its pupils. This is an opportunity to become part of a close-knit, dedicated staff community in a school where students and staff thrive side by side.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
	Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development 
- 
	Help create a secure, stimulating environment for both learning and leisure 
- 
	Offer life skills guidance in areas like hygiene, relationships, and household routines 
- 
	Accompany children on appointments and community outings 
- 
	Monitor and report on students’ wellbeing and progress 
- 
	Work within small, homely residential settings where students stay Monday to Friday 
- 
	Facilitate and engage in evening activities such as swimming, sports, cinema trips, and more 
- 
	Support access to on-site facilities including a music studio, swimming pool, and a farm
