Science Teacher – SEMH School, Cheshunt
Start Date: As soon as possible (we are happy to wait for the right candidate)
Contract: Full-time, permanent (5 days a week)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join our supportive SEMH school in Cheshunt. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and dysregulated behaviour.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and staff to support progress and outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified or unqualified teachers are welcome to apply – experience and approach are key.

  • Previous experience working with SEMH pupils or young people displaying challenging behaviour is essential.

  • Ability to deliver Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (experience with Entry Level and GCSE desirable).

  • A resilient, patient and empathetic approach, with effective behaviour management strategies.

  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and the wellbeing of every pupil.
