About the Role
Science Teacher – SEMH School, Cheshunt
Start Date: ASAP (willing to wait for the right candidate)
Contract: Full-time, permanent (5 days a week)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join our highly supportive SEMH school based in Cheshunt. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and dysregulated behaviour.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH.

Create a supportive classroom culture that encourages positive behaviour and learning.

Work as part of a collaborative team with access to ongoing training and professional development.

Build strong relationships with students, staff and families to support student progress.
What We’re Looking For

Qualified or unqualified teachers are welcome – experience and attitude are most important.

Previous experience working with SEMH students or young people with challenging behaviour is essential.

Ability to deliver Science across KS3 and KS4 (experience with entry-level and GCSE desirable).

A resilient, patient and empathetic approach with strong behaviour management strategies.
