About the Role
Behaviour Support Assistant (SEMH) – Empower Young Minds in Harlesden
Location: Harlesden
Daily Pay Rate: £90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Schools across Harlesden — including SEN, primary and secondary settings — are seeking dedicated Behaviour Support Assistants to work with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners build confidence, emotional regulation and the skills they need to thrive.
Role Overview

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs

Use de-escalation, restorative and trauma-informed strategies

Support teachers with structured routines and personalised interventions

Help pupils develop coping skills, self-esteem and positive behaviour patterns
Requirements

Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs

Calm, patient and resilient manner

Strong communication and rapport-building skills

A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their goals
