We are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Croydon to recruit a dedicated and resilient Learning Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who face significant barriers to learning, including challenging behaviour linked to trauma, emotional needs, and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH and SEND needs
Assist in delivering individualised learning programmes
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
Help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

Experience working in an SEMH or SEND setting is an advantage
Personal experience with SEND will also be considered
A calm, empathetic, and patient nature
Resilience and confidence when working with pupils displaying challenging behaviour
A strong desire to help young people thrive, both academically and emotionally
