The Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised support strategies and help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups

  • Help implement and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Foster positive relationships and a sense of belonging in the classroom

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers

  • Promote inclusive practice across the school day

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting for at least 6 months

  • A nurturing, patient and proactive approach

  • Excellent communication and team-working skills

  • A genuine passion for inclusion and making a difference in young people’s lives
