About the Role

SEN Learning Development Assistant

Location: North-West London
Salary: £90–£105 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Autism and helping them thrive? We’re looking for dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join SEND settings in North West London, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is a unique opportunity to make a real, lasting impact. You’ll be helping students of mainstream academic ability access the curriculum with specialist, structured support, while fostering their independence, confidence, and well being.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with ASC.
  • Supporting social communication, study skills, life skills, self-regulation, and anxiety management.
  • Assisting with personalised intervention programmes.
  • Maintaining a calm, structured, and Autism-friendly learning environment.
  • Collaborating closely with SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff to deliver consistent and effective support.

  • Previous experience supporting students with Autism / ASC.
  • Strong understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive education.
  • Calm, patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
