About the Role
SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Kingston Upon Thames
- ASAP start
- Full-time, term-time only
- 8:30am - 4pm working hours
- £450 - £500 per week – PAYE only

Previous experience in schools is helpful but not essential if you bring relevant transferable skills

I am working with a well-established organisation that is looking for an outreach SEN tutor to join as soon as possible on a full-time basis. You will either go to the pupil's home or the local community centre to provide 1:1 tuition to pupils with EHCP who cannot attend school for various reasons. Pupils will have Autism / ASC, Speech and Language Communication Needs, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Every child is different, and you will be matched to the pupils who are suitable for your strengths.
Overview:
Outreach SEN Tutor
Suitable for teaching assistants who have at least 6 months of experience supporting SEND children
This position is suitable for teachers with 1-3 years of experience who are looking for something different—1:1 tuition and making a real difference!
£130 PAYE for those who do not have QTS, £160 PAYE for those with QTS
Providing primary and secondary tuition to SEND children
Providing intervention support to local schools who need SEND specialists
Monday to Friday (during term time), 8:30am - 4pm
Requirements:
Must have proven experience supporting/teaching SEND children, including Autism / ASC, SLCN, MLD, SLD, PMLD, and/or SEMH
Confident with behaviour management
Must be confident with teaching 1:1
Must have a full understanding of the National Curriculum
Excellent communication skills
