Temp Contract, September start Special School - Plaistow Year 7, Autism & Complex needs PAYE only Payments A new annex site within central Newham that caters for Year 7s only are actively seeking an experienced teacher for a temporary contract starting in September 2025. This site is attached to a mainstream secondary school and supports only Year 7s that have autism and complex needs, as well as struggling with the transition from primary - secondary. Operating as a part of a trust that functions across East London, this special school boasts incredible development and training opportunities with a focus on staff retention and supporting talent. It is a fantastic environment to expand or learn new skills within a special needs environment. As this role is cover ideally we are seeking Teachers that have experience within an SEN setting, however MS teachers with experience of SEN within their class are also welcomed. The students within this school are secondary & post-16 with autism and communication needs. As the children are older you will be focusing a lot on teaching life and independency skills as well as a subject specific curriculum. You will also have access to therapy and sensory rooms, large outdoor space with resources to encourage movement.
