Parker Smith Inclusion is proud to be working in partnership with a warm and inclusive specialist school in Harlow, dedicated to supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We are currently seeking a committed and adaptable Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This role is available on either a permanent or temp-to-perm basis, depending on your preference.
🧮 The Role
This is a full-time teaching position delivering Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4. There may also be the opportunity to contribute to a second subject area, depending on your experience and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to small class groups (typically 6–10 pupils)
Support individual learning needs alongside teaching assistants and the wider team
Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils to foster trust, confidence, and re-engagement with learning
Manage behaviour using positive, trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
Contribute to a second subject area (e.g. Science, PE or the Arts), if desired
Support the ongoing development of the school, with opportunities for future progression

✅ The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience teaching Maths at secondary level
A calm, reflective and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour management
A genuine passion for inclusive education and making a positive difference
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs or working in alternative provision (desirable but not essential)
A second subject specialism (e.g. PE, Science or Art) would be advantageous
