Location: Sutton, Greater London
Salary: £85 - £95 per day [depending on experience] - PAYE
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

Our Special School is a successful and inclusive special school for pupils aged 3–19 with a wide range of learning difficulties, including Autism, sensory processing challenges, and complex needs. The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key member of the classroom team, working closely with teachers and therapists to support the educational, social, and personal development of our pupils. Every day is different, and every small step is a big achievement.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils in their learning and daily routines

Assist with implementing individualised learning plans and behaviour support strategies

Provide personal care, physical support, and help with feeding where required

Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Communicate effectively with pupils, families, and staff to build strong relationships

Work 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning and encourage independence
What We’re Looking For:

A genuine interest in working with children with special needs
-
Experience supporting pupils with autism, communication difficulties, or PMLD is a plus—but not essential
-
A proactive, adaptable, and compassionate approach

Strong teamwork and communication skills
-
A willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, Makaton) – full support provided
