About the Role

SEN Teaching Assistant – Clapham Junction Area

Full-Time | Long-Term to Permanent | £85–£95 per day (PAYE only)

ASAP Start

Some schools just feel different.

From the moment you walk in, you can sense the calm, not because it’s quiet, but because it’s purposeful. Staff move with intention. Children smile more. And even when the day is tough (because working in SEND isn’t easy), there’s this unspoken understanding that everyone here matters.

This is one of those schools. A truly specialist setting just a short journey from Clapham Junction, where children with Autism, severe learning difficulties, and complex needs come not just to learn, but to thrive, with your help.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work alongside skilled teachers and therapists, supporting students in the classroom, sensory rooms, and playground. You’ll help children feel safe, regulated, and proud of their progress, even the small wins that most people miss.

It’s not a role where you stand on the side. You’ll be actively involved with communication, personal care, sensory support, and more. Some of the children are nonverbal, some are full of energy, but all of them need someone who sees their potential.

What Makes You Right for This

You might be a psychology graduate, an aspiring teacher, or someone with care or school experience. Maybe you’ve supported a sibling or family member with additional needs. Whatever your background, you’re here because you care. You’re curious. You’re resilient. And when others give up, you don’t.

  • Experience with SEN (Autism, SLD, complex needs) is ideal – personal or professional
  • You’re open to personal care and sensory support (training provided)
  • You’re calm under pressure and genuinely want to make a difference
  • Full-time availability during term time is essential (8:45am–3:30pm)

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella companies, ever
  • Ongoing support from an ethical SEN specialist team (that’s us!)
  • A long-term home in a school where you’ll be valued, trained, and supported
  • The kind of role that leaves you tired in the best way, because it meant something

Ready to join a school that gets it right?

I would love to speak to you. Apply today and let’s talk about how this could be the start of something brilliant.
