Are you ready for a new challenge?

As a dedicated Maths Teacher, or teacher comfortable teaching Maths at Entry Level, PKSS and capacity to stretch up to GCSE Higher. you’ll provide 1:1 lessons for learners who are unable to access the classroom for their learning. Working flexibly across home, community settings and sometimes online, you'll deliver tailored, engaging sessions that reignite confidence, spark learning, and help re-integrate pupils into suitable education pathways. With a strong background in differentiated teaching and an in-depth understanding of autism spectrum conditions, the teacher creates a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Lessons are adapted to meet the student’s individual needs, using clear routines, visual supports, and multi-sensory approaches to enhance understanding and maintain focus.

The teacher prioritises building a trusting relationship to foster emotional security and confidence, while promoting independence and a love of learning. Skilled in managing sensory sensitivities, communication differences, and anxiety, they work closely with SEN coordinators, parents, and therapists to ensure a holistic and consistent approach. Progress is regularly tracked and celebrated, with flexible strategies to adjust pace and content as needed to ensure sustained academic and personal growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons across primary and secondary key stages (primarily Maths).

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with students and their families.

  • Work collaboratively with schools, social workers, and educational psychologists.

  • Track and report on progress, adapting learning to meet changing needs.

Therapeutic Mentor

Are you ready for a unique new challenge? Is your background mentoring within a school setting and you are now looking for an exciting new challenge? This is an inspiring, therapeutic organisation that works across London. They have a no exclusion policy and support the hardest to reach, high risk and most vulnerable young people. This role is supporting young people who may have been out of formal education for several years and are unable at this time to cope with learning in a classroom, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people who are new to the organisation. These young people have an SEMH and/or ASC diagnosis, alongside complex additional needs. They may be at considerable risk of exploitation or been exposed to extreme violence and abuse in their homes. They need someone to help. Could this be you? This organisation has a high success rate in that young people are eventually are back in full time education or employment, and on top of that thriving, able to regulate their emotions and begin to process their trauma. An example of this is a young person with previous low school attendance, multiple exclusions, PTSD, and extremely aggressive behaviour. After being assigned a specialist mentor and working together, this young person has now transitioned to a specialist school, has a 93% attendance record, is part of restorative groups helping him to process his trauma and is thriving with a bespoke curriculum.
