Are you a compassionate and skilled educator who is passionate about helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential? 

We seek an experienced ITeaching Assistant to join a secondary school for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will support children with ADHD, autism spectrum conditions (ASC), behavioural issues, and learning difficulties. Proficiency in Maths and English is essential, and candidates must take a test during the interview process.

**About the Role:** 

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide specialised support for students who require additional assistance. Your primary focus will be on enhancing academic performance and promoting emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver interventions for small groups or individual students to address their academic, emotional, and social needs.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate intervention strategies into the broader curriculum.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students to foster confidence and engagement.
  • Support students in developing resilience, self-regulation, and effective coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of intervention sessions and communicate students' progress to teachers, parents, and caregivers.

About You: To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in delivering interventions in Maths, English, and emotional development.
  • A strong understanding of strategies to support students with anxiety, anger management, and self-regulation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to addressing students' needs.
  • A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable but not essential.
