About the Role
SEND Teacher – PMLD & Complex Needs
Location: London Borough of Barking and Dagenham
Start Date: September 2025 (Permanent)
Salary: £36,000 – £54,000 + SEN Allowance

We are working in partnership with an exceptional special school in Barking and Dagenham, seeking a passionate SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team this September. This is more than a teaching role—it's an opportunity to help children with profound and complex needs thrive in a nurturing, well-resourced environment.
The school supports pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and a range of associated needs. With purpose-built facilities and a highly collaborative staff team, you’ll be well-equipped to provide the personalised, meaningful education these learners deserve.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

A real passion for working with children with complex needs, including PMLD and sensory profiles

A creative, patient, and adaptive teaching style

A collaborative mindset and a commitment to inclusive education

Experience with or a desire to learn about communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory integration strategies
