We here at Parker Smith Inclusion are excited to be working with an Outstanding SEND School in the London Borough of Barnet that have recently expanded and require our help in finding fantastic staff, they are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as SEND Teaching Assistant's. The school has a primary and secondary sites and cater for students with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs, with the majority having ASC and associated learning, communication, and behavioral difficulties. Experience is valued, but they are also looking for drive and personality for the role. They would like candidates to start on a long-term temporary contract to help speed up the recruitment process for them, then candidates could be taken on permanently by this wonderful school.

Requirements 

  • Having the passion to work with young people with SEND
  • Being  patient and flexible, and able to move between classes when you are needed to
  • Someone who understands that this is a SEND school and are prepared for the challenges
  • Comfortable supporting with toileting, eating and drinking
  • Comfortable supporting during swimming and PE sessions, including dressing and undressing
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team

School Counsellor SEMH School ASAP start Full time or part time A specialist school in North East London is recruiting for a dedicated and qualified Counsellor to join its Therapy team, and provide essential support for students with SEMH. About the Role As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll work closely with other professionals to deliver tailored therapeutic support to students. This role would suit someone with experience in a special needs environment, but we also encourage applications from newly qualified Counsellors ready to bring fresh energy and commitment to this important role. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate your own caseload, implementing personalised EHCP/treatment plans. Plan and deliver interventions for individual or group therapy Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to annual review processes. Build and sustain close working relationships with teaching and support staff to ensure therapy aligns with the school’s ethos and statutory regulations. Promote therapy services within the school to support business growth and reach personal targets. Facilitate training for school staff in line with EHCP requirements. About You Qualifications: Current membership with BACP, UKCP, or equivalent accrediting body. Commitment to CPD: Willing to complete CPD as required by your accrediting body, and to attend regular supervision.
