About the Role
SLD/PMLD Teacher – Specialist SEND School – Kingston upon Thames
Are you a passionate and resilient teacher with a heart for inclusive education? An exceptional specialist setting in Kingston is seeking a dedicated SLD/PMLD Teacher to join their team from September on a long-term to permanent basis.
The Role:
- Lead a class of up to 8 pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
- Supported by 3–4 experienced Teaching Assistants.
- Deliver a personalised, sensory-rich curriculum tailored to individual needs.
- Foster a nurturing environment that supports communication, independence, and emotional regulation.
- Implement strategies to manage behaviours that may be challenging, arising from sensory and communication needs.

Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

- Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant SEND experience.

Salary:
- Outer London Main Pay Scale: £34,514 – £46,001 per annum
- PAYE daily rate: £186.73 - £248.88 PAYE per day
