Speech and Language Therapist – SEND School

We are working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist SEND school in Hillingdon to recruit a passionate Speech and Language Therapist for a full-time, term-time only permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary therapy team supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored therapy plans

  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions across a diverse caseload

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support assistants to embed communication strategies within the classroom

  • Provide staff and parent training to build confidence in supporting speech, language, and communication needs

  • Support whole-school communication development through curriculum input and strategic planning

  • Maintain detailed and reflective clinical records and produce high-quality written reports

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc or MSc), with HCPC and RCSLT registration (or in the process of registration)

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly those with autism

  • A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach to therapy

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working

  • A willingness to engage with evidence-based approaches such as ABA

  • A desire to grow professionally within a school setting and contribute meaningfully to a close-knit, values-driven team
