A fantastic supportive school I'm working with in the heart of Newham are seeking an Early Years Practitioner to start with them in September 2025 to support their ever growing early years department. As the role is within early years the children could not have a diagnosis but could display needs such as autism, speech and language challenges, pre-verbal, non-verbal, global delay, EAL and learning difficulties. You will be working under the guidance of the class teacher and colleagues, encouraging children's development, independance, self-reliance and problem solving skills. The children will be in the department all day, it is a very busy, hands on role that will require and enthusiastic, energetic, creative individual. This role will require you to be involved with outdoor activities such as swimming, educational visits etc, it would be beneficial if you already have first aid training. Some key work for the role would be: Oversee the introduction and settling in process for children and families into the school/centre, including initial home visit with parent and giving initial information on school/centre policies. Responsibility in planning, tracking and evaluating. Set individual targets and monitor progress. Carry out a full record keeping programme for each child according to school/centre policy.
