I am working with an 'Good' mainstream primary school based within Tower Hamlets, they looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and welcoming team in early years supporting SEND. The children you will support will have a variety of needs which often include ASD, SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs), global delay and learning disabilities and will vary between moderate to severe, this can sometimes include some challenging behaviour born out of a frustration to communicate verbally.

I am working with a fantastic MS primary school that is part of a larger trust and they are looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a mainstream primary school, working in their SEN Inclusion Class. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire a group of pupils with diverse needs, ranging from KS1 to KS2.
The curriculum is already set up but they need the right person to deliver the class, this school is extremely structured and ahead of the curve when it comes to SEN support for children and are a fantastic school to be part of.
About the Role:
As the SEN Teacher, you will deliver a well-established and tailored curriculum to a class of mixed-ability pupils. The class includes children with:
Autism
Speech and language needs
Social and emotional challenges
Behavioural difficulties
Both verbal and non-verbal communication abilities
You will be supported by teaching assistants, SENCo and a collaborative school team to provide a nurturing and structured learning environment where all children can thrive.
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver and adapt the pre-set curriculum to meet the individual needs of pupils.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Use strategies to support children with behavioural, emotional, and communication needs.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community.
Monitor progress and prepare reports in line with the school's policies.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching children with special educational needs, preferably in an inclusion or SEN-specific setting.
A strong understanding of the unique challenges and needs of children with autism, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.
Excellent classroom management and differentiation skills.
A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
