We here at Parker Smith are currently working with a well-respected Trust that have a immediate vacancy for a passionate and caring person to support a child with ASD on a 1:1 basis within EYFS. Experience of managing behaviour and ASD is needed to fully support this pupil and the school will support you every step of the way.

The school is part of an exciting initiative in Southend, this is a project that aims to raise aspirations, challenge stereotypes, and broaden horizons. Career professionals have Zoom meetings with all classes from years 1-6. The children engage in a fun warm-up activity, listen to them talk about their careers and ask questions of their own to find out more.

SEMH Learning Support Assistant

We are currently working with a wonderful Academy that are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work within their SEND provision, you will be supporting their secondary students who are struggling to flourish in the mainstream environment, these students have ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH. They are looking for someone who has experience working with SEMH and who is passionate and empathetic. This setting has the ethos that to learn to full potential a student has to be emotionally, mentally and physically ready. The curriculum they deliver works to specifically develop all three of these areas. They understand that physical and emotional wellbeing is off the upmost importance. If needed they offer their students out-reach mentoring and counselling services and also additional support for fine and gross motor skills.
