Residential Care Officer – SEMH School (Chelmsford)
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Split Shift: 7:30am–9:30am & 2:30pm–9:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Help create a secure, stimulating environment for both learning and leisure

  • Offer life skills guidance in areas like hygiene, relationships, and household routines

  • Accompany children on appointments and community outings

  • Monitor and report on students’ wellbeing and progress

  • Work within small, homely residential settings where students stay Monday to Friday

  • Facilitate and engage in evening activities such as swimming, sports, cinema trips, and more

  • Support access to on-site facilities including a music studio, swimming pool, and a farm
