The Role

SEN Teacher – ASC Enfield January – July 2026 (2 terms) Are you an experienced and passionate teacher looking for a role making a real difference to young people with ASC? We are working with a special school in Enfield seeking a Year 2 Teacher to join their supportive team. You will be responsible for teaching a small class of 7 pupils, all on the autism spectrum, with varying abilities—some working below national curriculum levels, and some engaging with elements of Year 1 curriculum. You will work alongside 2 support staff to deliver a tailored, engaging curriculum that meets each child’s individual needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in ASC, special education, or SEND settings who thrives in a collaborative, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of autistic pupils. Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting learning strategies accordingly. We are working with a school based in Enfield that caters to students 16 - 25 years with SEND, which includes ASC, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language and communication needs. The school are looking for passionate SEN Career Development Coach & Travel Trainer to join their ethical team. Part of the role as a Job Coach will involve supporting the students with their work experience placements and giving guidance, support and advice for their job placements. The other part of the role will be supporting students with independent travel. Key Responsibilities Independent Travel Trainer Deliver tailored travel training to students, ensuring they can navigate public transport safely and independently. Monitor progress, complete checklists, and report updates to line managers, class teams, and other stakeholders. Prepare and implement risk assessments for travel training activities. SEN Career Development Coach Organise and coordinate meaningful external work experience opportunities that match students’ abilities and interests. Consult with students to understand their skills, preferences, and support needs, adopting a person-centered approach.
