About the Role
Daily Rate: £85–£100 | Small, Family-Feel Primary School | Immediate Start
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Do you have experience supporting children with autism and enjoy working as part of a close-knit, supportive team?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our wonderful one-form entry primary school in Onga. This is a dual-role position:
🔹 Morning – You will provide 1:1 support for a student with autism who is partially non-verbal, helping them engage with learning in a way that works for them.
🔹 Afternoon – You'll become a valued general LSA across the school, supporting various classes and contributing to the wider learning environment.
This role is ideal for someone who:
✔ Has previous 1:1 SEN experience, especially with autism
✔ Understands the importance of patience, consistency, and empathy
✔ Is a true team player, happy to roll up their sleeves and support wherever needed
✔ Wants to be part of a small, welcoming school that feels more like a family than a workplace
In our school, everyone chips in—from the headteacher to the support staff. We believe in open communication, collaboration, and celebrating the little wins every day. You won’t just be filling a role—you’ll be helping a child find their voice and supporting a team that deeply values your input.
💬 “What skills do you bring that could help unlock a child’s potential?”
That’s the question we’ll be asking—because this role is about more than experience. It’s about heart, commitment, and the drive to make a real difference.
Interested?
We’d love to hear from you if you’re ready to bring your skills, warmth, and passion to our school community.
