About the Role

Nurture Teacher

Full-Time Permanent

September 2025

Teachers' Pay Scale + SEN Allowance

We are working with a fantastic Alternative Provision based in Lambeth that is looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurture teacher to join their Key Stage One team. The school provides excellent education for children, from KS1-KS4, who would not otherwise receive a suitable education. This includes children who have been excluded, or have high SEN needs that cannot be met in a mainstream school.

The role focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

What The School Are Looking For;

  • A qualified teacher passionate about nurturing students with additional needs and fostering their emotional and academic development.
  • Experience in a nurture group or special education setting is desirable, but we also welcome mainstream teachers who strongly desire to support vulnerable learners.
  • A calm, patient, and creative approach to teaching that focuses on building student trust and relationships.
  • Ability to develop and deliver individualised support plans and create a warm, structured classroom environment where students can thrive emotionally and academically.

What The School Offers:

  • Teachers' Pay Scale with an SEN Allowance to reflect your experience and contribution.
  • Small class sizes to allow for tailored and meaningful interactions with students.
  • Access to specialist resources and a nurturing environment to promote emotional wellbeing and personal growth.
  • Ongoing professional development and opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and career.
  • A supportive leadership team dedicated to your personal and professional growth
