About the Role

Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference? We’re working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Vauxhall to support young people with complex communication needs.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a therapeutic, nurturing school environment, where you will help pupils develop the communication skills they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy tailored to each child’s needs.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assess and identify pupils’ speech, language, and communication needs.

  • Plan and deliver individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Coach and advise school staff on embedding communication strategies across the school day.

  • Collaborate with teachers, pastoral leads, psychologists, and occupational therapists to provide holistic support.

  • Support the creation and review of EHCPs through assessment and reporting.

  • Monitor and evaluate pupils’ progress, adapting therapy plans as needed.


What We’re Looking For

  • HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.

  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH or neurodevelopmental needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD).

  • Confident in applying trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.

  • Strong communicator and team player, able to work independently within a school setting.

  • Reflective, motivated, and committed to making a positive impact.

Every child in the school has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school is dedicated to helping each pupil achieve their full potential through a nurturing, relationship-based approach. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurture Teacher to work with a small Year 9 group, delivering a creative, flexible, and trauma-informed curriculum. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of emotional regulation, attachment-informed practice, and consistency in building trust with learners.
