Location: Enfield
Pay: Teacher Pay Scale Outer London + SEN Allowance
Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher who wants to empower young people with complex needs to achieve independence and prepare for adult life?
We are working with a school in Enfield that caters for students aged 16–25 with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech, language and communication needs. The school is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher who is committed to creating inclusive learning environments, delivering engaging lessons, and preparing students for life beyond education.
About the Role:

Planning and delivering lessons across English, Maths, ICT, PE, creative sessions, life skills, and work experience

Supporting students in developing both academic skills and essential life skills for adulthood

Leading weekly work experience sessions to help students gain real-world experience and employability skills

Creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive
Your Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND

Differentiate learning materials to ensure accessibility for all learners

Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to support students’ educational, social, and emotional development

Monitor progress, track outcomes, and contribute to EHCP targets

Foster independence, resilience, and confidence in young people preparing for adulthood
Requirements for the Role:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)

Experience teaching young people with SEND, ideally in Post 16 or secondary settings
-
A strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND
