About the Role
esidential Care Officer
Location: Chelmsford
Full-time, Term-time only
Split shift: 7:30am – 9:30am & 2:30pm – 8:30pm
We are delighted to be working with a fantastic SEMH primary school who are seeking a compassionate and committed Residential Care Officer to join their dedicated team.

As a Residential Care Officer, you will:
- Support students to develop their social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
- Ensure children are safe, secure, and engaged in both education and leisure activities.
- Offer guidance on health, hygiene, relationships, and independent living skills.
- Accompany children to essential appointments and outings.
- Observe and record student progress, contributing to their care and development plans.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and resilient individual who wants to make a lasting difference in the lives of children with SEMH needs. Experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential — the right attitude and passion for supporting young people are most important.
