About the Role

💰 Pay: M1 – M6 (dependent on experience)

Parker Smith Inclusion are delighted to be working in partnership with a nurturing and forward-thinking Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harlow, which is seeking a passionate and committed Secondary Core Subject Teacher to join the team from September 2025.
Whether you specialise in English, Maths or Science, this role offers a unique opportunity to teach small groups of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, in a therapeutic, structured, and relationship-focused environment.
This is a full-time, term-time only position, available on either a temp to perm or permanent basis.
🌟 The Role:

Teaching English, Maths or Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons to small classes (typically 6–10 pupils)

Supporting young people who may have experienced trauma or disruption to mainstream education

Creating a consistent, calm and positive learning environment that fosters trust and re-engagement

Opportunities for future progression, including subject lead or other senior roles, as the school continues to grow

👤 The Ideal Candidate:

Holds QTS or QTLS (Unqualified teachers with relevant experience may also be considered)

Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths or Science

Confident in managing behaviour, with a calm, consistent, and nurturing approach

Experience working with pupils with SEMH or within alternative provision (desirable)

Passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine difference to the lives of young people
