Parker Smith Inclusion is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and progressive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harlow, renowned for its supportive and therapeutic approach to education. The school is looking for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Core Subject Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher specialising in English, Maths or Science to work with small groups of pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll be joining a setting where relationships come first, lessons are personalised, and every pupil is given the structure, consistency and encouragement they need to re-engage with learning.

🌟 The Role

Teach English, Maths or Science across Key Stages 3 and 4

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to small classes (usually 6–10 pupils)

Support pupils who may have experienced trauma or significant disruption to their education

Create a safe, consistent and positive learning environment that promotes trust and progress

Contribute to the wider life of the school, with opportunities for career progression as the school continues to grow

👤 The Ideal Candidate

Holds QTS or QTLS (Unqualified teachers with significant relevant experience will be considered)

Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths or Science

Skilled in behaviour management, with a calm, patient and consistent approach

Experience working with pupils with SEMH or in alternative provision (desirable)

Passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a positive difference
