Just Graduated? Not Sure What’s Next?
If you’ve got a degree but you’re still figuring out what direction to take — this could be the perfect place to start. Whether you studied Psychology, Education, Sociology, English, or any subject with people at its heart, we’re looking for graduates with great communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a desire to make a real difference.
You don’t need classroom experience. You just need the right attitude, a calm and kind approach, and a genuine interest in helping children thrive — especially those with special educational needs (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Graduate Teaching Assistant:
Supporting children 1:1 and in small groups who need additional learning or emotional support
Working closely with students who have Autism, ADHD, sensory needs, and social-emotional challenges
Helping deliver creative, inclusive lessons that adapt to a range of learning styles
Building trusting relationships with pupils through consistency and calm encouragement
Assisting in the development of communication, emotional regulation, and independence
Learning from a team of experienced SENCOs, therapists, and teaching staff
Why This School?
This is a supportive and inclusive school in West London, known for nurturing not only its pupils but also its staff. You’ll be joining a team that values graduate support staff and is committed to helping you grow, develop, and succeed in your career. If you’re exploring a future in teaching, therapy, or educational psychology, this is the perfect place to gain real, meaningful experience.
Who This Role is Perfect For:
Graduates in Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, or related subjects
Anyone considering a career in teaching, therapy, or educational psychology
Individuals with strong communication and relationship-building skills
Someone who is calm under pressure, reflective, and genuinely motivated to help others
A team player who wants to be part of something purposeful and people-focused
Able to commit to a full-time, term-time only role
What You’ll Gain:
Invaluable hands-on experience supporting students with additional needs
Mentorship and guidance from experienced education professionals
Skills in communication, behaviour management, and inclusive learning strategies
A clear insight into whether education or psychology is the right long-term path
The potential to transition into a permanent role if the match is right
