About the Role
Join a New SEN Adventure – Teachers Needed for Groundbreaking Provision in Thurrock!
Full-Time | Permanent | September Start | M1–M6 Pay Scale (Depending on Experience)
Are you a passionate and resilient teacher ready for your next challenge? A dynamic and forward-thinking SEN school in Thurrock is opening a brand-new specialist provision this September – and they’re looking for outstanding teachers to help bring it to life!
This exciting new pathway will cater to students with dysregulated behaviour and mild learning difficulties, offering them a fresh start in a purpose-built, nurturing environment. You’ll be part of a founding team, shaping the ethos, curriculum, and impact of this provision from day one.
What’s the Role About?
You’ll teach and support students who may have previously struggled in mainstream settings. Many will show signs of SEMH needs or dysregulated behaviour, and your role will be to provide structured, consistent, and emotionally supportive learning. The aim is to help them feel safe, understood, and capable — and to build meaningful progress both academically and personally.
Who Are We Looking For?
We want to hear from you if:
-
You’ve worked with students with additional needs, especially SEMH or behavioural challenges.
-
You’re calm under pressure, confident in your classroom management, and never take things personally.
-
You bring a toolkit of strategies and a fresh perspective to working with young people who need something different.
-
You’re up for the long-term journey – this is a permanent role with scope to move into middle leadership as the provision grows.
Why Join This School?
-
Be part of an exciting new project within a well-established SEN school.
-
Enjoy a school culture that’s collaborative, honest, and child-focused.
-
Get ongoing training and genuine opportunities for promotion as the provision evolves.
-
Make a lasting impact on young people who truly need someone in their corner.
Start Date:
September 2025, but interviews are being arranged ASAP for the right candidates.
