SENCO - Primary School (Barnet) Pay: £53,261 - £57,716 Full or Part time (4 days minimum) Start: ASAP A warm and inclusive primary school in the Barnet area is seeking an experienced and committed SENCo to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable SEND professional who can confidently lead provision across the school and ensure high-quality support for pupils with additional needs. About the Role The successful SENCo will oversee SEND provision across the whole school, including a dedicated specialist space which currently supports a small group of children awaiting special school placements. You will work closely with staff, external professionals and families to ensure that all pupils with SEND receive the support they need to thrive. Key responsibilities include: Leading SEND provision across the school Overseeing a specialist space supporting 6 pupils with significant needs Managing a SENCo Assistant and SENCo Admin Assistant Coordinating EHCPs, annual reviews, referrals and new applications Using insights from two recent SEN audits to guide next steps and drive continued improvement Ensuring high-quality SEND systems and documentation Liaising with teaching staff to support inclusive classroom practice Current SEND Profile 26% of pupils are on the SEND register (76 out of 292) 18 EHCPs across the main school, with further applications required A dedicated SENCo Assistant (part-time teaching commitment) A SENCo Admin Assistant who provides robust administrative support around EHCPs and referrals A full handover will be provided by the current Inclusion Lead, who will also remain available to offer ongoing support and ensure continuity of systems and processes. Speech & Language Therapist – Band 7 (or strong Band 6 ready to step up) North London | Full time | Flexible working January start or sooner Inspiring those who support children with the highest communication needs is work filled with passion and purpose. You might already be thriving at Band 7. Or you might be a strong Band 6 who knows you’re ready for the step up. You are organised, relationship-driven, and comfortable coaching school staff. Supporting autistic pupils using AAC/early communication approaches is part of your every day, as is a calm, problem-solving mindset. We are looking for a skilled Speech & Language Therapist to join a forward-thinking education-based service in North London. Someone who believes that impact comes from empowering others: modelling great practice in classrooms, building staff confidence, and creating environments where every child is understood. The Role: This role is varied. You’ll spend around three days a week in schools delivering training, consultation and modelling. You’ll keep a small, focused caseload for EHCP provision. You’ll supervise therapy assistants and contribute to a developing service. There will be exposure to tribunal work. Training and peer support are provided, although confidence with reports and professional discussion will help. Autonomy matters here. You’ll manage your own diary, shape your weeks, and use your clinical judgement without unnecessary barriers. Collaboration matters too. You’ll be part of a reflective, supportive multi-disciplinary team that champions neurodiversity-affirming practice and meaningful CPD.
