About the Role

Location: Barking & Dagenham
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: Flexible

Can you hear the hum of excitement in a classroom where every child’s potential is unlocked? Feel the buzz of a team that truly collaborates, working together to change lives, one student at a time? Imagine the satisfaction of seeing a child take their first step towards independence, knowing you were there to help make it happen.

If that sparks something in you, then keep reading. This role isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to step into a space where your impact will be felt, not just seen.

What You’ll Experience

A Space That Breathes Support:
In this classroom, there’s no rush. Every teacher, every specialist, and every team member is focused on providing space to nurture students with SEND, whether they’re working through autism, ADHD, or specific learning difficulties. You’ll feel the rhythm of teamwork that’s calm, considered, and carefully tuned to the needs of each child.

The Thrill of Real Progress:
You’ll witness it—those "aha" moments when a student grasps a new concept, when a small goal is achieved. That sense of joy, quiet yet powerful, that fills the air as children make strides, big or small. You’ll be part of those moments, helping shape them.

The Opportunity to Grow:
This isn’t just about supporting students—it’s about growing alongside them. You’ll see how your skills and knowledge expand with every strategy you try, every intervention you put in place. Your own journey will be shaped by the children you work with, and you'll walk away with a sense of fulfilment you didn’t know was possible.

The Role Itself

It’s all in the details:
From guiding students with individual learning plans to implementing tailored interventions from their EHCPS, you’ll find yourself deeply immersed in creating a space that feels just right for each child. Every student is unique, and so too will be the way you help them succeed.

The Environment:
Picture a school that doesn’t just see children with SEND, but sees them as individuals. You’ll contribute to a nurturing environment, where patience and understanding aren’t just values—they’re the air that everyone breathes. As you walk through the halls, you’ll feel like you’re part of something bigger, something important.

What You’ll Bring

Experience, But Also Heart:
Whether you've supported children through school, youth work, or in other settings, you know what it takes to support a child who needs a little extra care. But more than that—you understand the power of empathy and the value of connecting with each child at their level.

A Passion That’s Real:
When you step into this role, you don’t just bring a list of qualifications. You bring a drive—a real desire to make a difference, to see children bloom in ways they’ve never done before.

It’s not just a job.
It’s about becoming part of something that feels meaningful, challenging, and rewarding in equal measure. It’s about being a constant, calming presence in a child’s life—a reassuring hand when they need it, and the quiet cheerleader who celebrates their successes, no matter how small.

And while you give so much of yourself to your students, you’ll feel the return—every day. The school where you’ll work isn’t just about pushing children through the curriculum; it’s about creating an environment where they feel truly understood.

Ready to feel that difference?

If you’ve got the right energy, the right understanding, and the desire to really connect with students in a way that leaves a lasting mark, this is the right space for you.
