SEND Teaching Assistant £90-100 per day PAYE Long Term What schools and settings do we work with?. Mainstream schools, where you will be working with a student with SEND 1:1 or in small groups ARP's (Alternative Resourced Provision) attached to a mainstream school, where the small group of children will all have a SEND diagnosis and are struggling to cope within the mainstream part of the school PRU's (Pupil Referral Unit) , where the students are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural needs Specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) settings and outreach services, where the young people cannot access mainstream school due to a SEMH diagnosis, complex needs and trauma SEND schools, where the students will all have a SEND diagnosis and EHCP (Educational , Health and Care Plan), this may be ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) , ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) complex needs, PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) , these roles may require assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, and eating What experience do i need? Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Hackney Full-time – Long Term Temporary Immediate/ASAP start PAYE rates £85- £95 per day depending on experience Type of school: 3-13 SLD/PMLD Do you have experience supporting children and young people with learning and physical disabilities? Do you have any family members or friends who have additional needs that you have helped support? Are you seeking to gain experience or looking to develop your career further in SEND? We are working with a creative MS Primary school in Hackney that support children and young people with severe and profound learning needs. The school are looking for a caring and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to a SEN Complex needs provision for 10 pupils. A good understanding of pupils with profound needs would be desirable as the class has pupils who use wheelchairs and requires hoisting. However, full training can be provided if experience in none or limited. What can you expect as a SEND Teaching Assistant?
