- 8:30 - 3:30 with CPD every other Tuesday @ 4:45

A specialist MLD school based in the heart of Hackney are interested in meeting enthusiastic, passionate, committed teaching assistants to join their fantastic school. Could it be you?
Entering the school you would can understand the level of excellence they expect from their staff and having an OFSTED outstanding rating you can see why! It offers large classrooms for 12 students, speech and language therapist and counsellor available to the students on site, as well as literacy and numeracy intervention specialist, providing the students with the best opportunity to reach their expected grades.
Although this is a secondary school the students are all learning at a primary curriculum meaning all candidates need to understand these teenagers can be facing teenage struggles but have a brain function of a primary aged child, requiring a nurture and trauma informed approach. All lessons are practical based, getting the students involved with movement, learning through play and using objects to help support them.
This is a truly fantastic school to be part of and the deputy head wants to meet with candidates that have the genuine interest in supporting SEND pupils.

Experience desirable;
- Supporting children with complex needs, such as MLD , speech and language needs, dysregulated behaviour, trauma (we will consider personal experience)
- Understanding of special needs and the social struggles this can cause a child
- Proven ability of great communication skills
- Understanding of makaton/pecs/zones of regulation
