Maths Teacher - Autism and SEMH
Mole Valley
Surrey
£35,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience
Qualified Maths Teacher – A Chance to Teach with Purpose
Location: Mole Valley, Surrey
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 – £48,000 (PAYE only – no umbrella deductions)
If you're a qualified teacher who wants to do more than deliver a curriculum—if you want to see the direct impact of your teaching on a young person’s confidence, wellbeing, and future—this could be the role for you.
We’re working with a fantastic specialist school based in the beautiful Surrey countryside. The school supports young people aged 11–16 with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs. Many of the pupils have experienced disrupted education or struggled to thrive in mainstream settings. But here, they’re given the time, trust, and support to rebuild.
As a Maths Teacher in this setting, you’ll have the chance to teach in a calm, structured, and fully resourced environment. Classes are small—usually no more than 6 to 8 pupils—and you’ll work alongside skilled support staff and in-house therapists who understand the challenges and rewards of specialist education.
You’ll have the freedom to tailor your lessons, build strong relationships, and support pupils not only with their academic goals but also their emotional growth. This is a role where your ability to adapt and connect is just as important as your subject knowledge.
Whether you’re already working in a specialist setting or are looking to transition from mainstream, this school offers exceptional training, mentorship, and development opportunities. You’ll be joining a team that values collaboration, creativity, and compassion.
What we’re looking for:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level
A calm, reflective, and relational approach to behaviour and learning
A strong understanding of—or genuine interest in—Autism, ADHD, and SEMH
A commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed teaching
In return, you’ll receive:
A competitive PAYE salary (£35,000 – £48,000) with no umbrella deductions
A permanent contract with long-term security
High levels of classroom support and small group teaching
Access to CPD, SEND-specific training, and career progression pathways
The chance to work in a school that prioritises wellbeing—for staff and students alike
If you’re a qualified Maths Teacher looking for a meaningful next step, we’d love to hear from you.

Unqualified Maths Teacher - Teacher Training
Mole Valley
Surrey
£25,000 - £35,000
Unqualified Maths Teacher
Location: Mole Valley, Surrey
Type of School: SEND (Autism/ASC, ADHD, SEMH)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Contract
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum
You don’t need to be a qualified teacher to change lives.
If you’ve taught Maths up to GCSE, know how to build trust, and believe in second chances, this could be the role you’ve been looking for.
We’re working with a truly remarkable specialist school in the Surrey countryside. It’s a school designed with purpose—calm, structured, and supportive for both students and staff. Pupils here have often struggled in mainstream education and are living with Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, or mental health needs. They need someone who sees beyond behaviour and meets them where they are.
That’s where you come in.
The classes are small—around 6 to 8 pupils—with excellent support from learning assistants and in-house therapists. You’ll have the time, space, and backing to deliver Maths lessons in a way that really connects with each learner. This isn’t about racing through a curriculum—it’s about rebuilding confidence, reigniting curiosity, and helping young people rediscover their love of learning.
We’re looking for someone who’s taught Maths before, either in schools, alternative provision, tutoring, or even mentoring roles. You don’t need QTS. What matters most is your experience, your understanding of neurodivergent learners, and your ability to stay calm, creative, and compassionate under pressure.
The school can also support you in working towards QTS. If you're looking to grow your career in education and gain qualified teacher status in the right setting, this is a brilliant place to start.
In return, you’ll be supported by a leadership team that understands the real work behind specialist teaching. You’ll receive full training, ongoing CPD, and a clear pathway to develop as an educator in SEND.
Whether you’re already in a specialist setting or you're ready to leave mainstream and teach in a more meaningful way, this is a fantastic opportunity to do something that matters every single day.
To find out more, apply today or get in touch with Heeji Moon at Parker Smith Inclusion on 0203 011 4848 for a friendly, informal chat.
