You will have a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE, SCITT or Bachelor of Education (BEd), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teaching or QTLS - Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status.

Working as a SEMH English Teacher requires a holistic approach, focusing on the whole child, academic development is only possible when you address the primary need first. You will work with the school's multidisciplinary therapy team, helping students find ways to do the things they need and want to do. This opportunity will suit a teacher who has a passion and natural ability to engage hard to reach pupils and those with strong classroom presence. You will engage the children and young people within the school in innovative, therapeutic, and meaningful activities, supporting them in learning to help them reach their full potential. Requirements for SEMH English Teacher:
To work as a SEMH English Teacher, you will require QTS or QTLS and have relevant experience as a Teacher in the UK. Solid experience working with highly vulnerable children, pupils at risk of exploitation, gang-related issues, violent and aggressive behaviour, substance misuse, school phobic, highly disengaged pupils, attachment and anxiety disorders is beneficial but we want to hear from ALL teachers.
