School Based Occupational Therapist
KingstonSouth West London£32,000 - £45,000
School Based Occupational Therapist
Kingston, South West London | Full-time | Permanent | £32,000 - £45,000| Term-time Only + 5 Weeks Holiday Work
Some schools talk about being “therapeutic”. This one lives and breathes it.
You’ll feel it the moment you walk through the door — a calm, welcoming environment where children who’ve struggled elsewhere finally feel safe enough to learn, play, and thrive. It’s a setting built around helping children with speech, language and communication needs, often alongside sensory processing and motor coordination challenges.
And they’re looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join their team.
What makes this different?
You won’t be juggling huge caseloads or trying to squeeze in therapy at the edges of a busy day. Here, therapy is fully integrated into the curriculum. You’ll be working closely with teachers, speech and language therapists, art therapists and support staff. You’ll have time and space to build proper relationships with your students and see the progress you’re helping them make.
You’ll mainly support Upper Primary and Secondary pupils (roughly ages 9–19), many of whom arrive with low confidence and big barriers. But over time, you’ll help them build life skills, independence and pride in what they can do — whether that’s handwriting, cutting with scissors, or learning to regulate their emotions.
What we’re looking for
HCPC-registered Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Comfortable supporting children with sensory and motor needs, Autism and/or communication difficulties
Calm, confident and collaborative – someone who enjoys working closely with other therapists and teaching/support staff
You don’t need years of experience, but you do need to care deeply about helping children feel safe, seen and successful
What you’ll get in return
A permanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:30–5:00)
Term-time working, with five weeks’ contribution during school holidays
Paid school holidays, generous CPD, and clinical supervision
Weekly free lunch, well-being allowance, and a healthcare cashback plan
A truly supportive team where your voice matters and your work is valued
This role offers the best of both worlds – the chance to grow your skills as a clinician while being part of something meaningful every day.
