Position Details:
Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
Student: Year 2 student progressing to Year 3 in September
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time Only
Pay: £85 - £95 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to a non-verbal student with ASD.
Assist with daily activities and classroom tasks.
Implement strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviours.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviours.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to the well-being and development of the student.

Would you be keen on a new challenge supporting students not in the classroom?
We are working closely with a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in central London, who are seeking teachers to deliver education offsite and onsite for pupils in key stages 3 & 4 who are not managing in the PRU.
Within the role it would be essential for the successful candidate to be able to teach across the key stages and curriculum, but lead on specialising in either English, Maths or humanities. This will be teaching in the students home, within the local community as well as at the school.
Primary, secondary and middle school teachers are welcomed to apply for this role.
Role of Specialist Intervention Teacher
To teach and be responsible for the development and co-ordination of a pupils personalised curriculums
To teach at the pupils home, in the local community and at the schools site
To be working across the curriculum and leading on either Maths, English or humanities
Planning and recording of the lessons
Setting pupil targets and tracking progress in subject areas
Identify learning objectives
Identify what resources are required
Requirements of the role of Specialist Intervention Teacher;
QTS or QTLS
Unqualified with proven experience
At least 3 year of teaching experience
Strong behaviour management experience
A nurturing, patient, empathetic and holistic approach

This is an inspiring, therapeutic organisation that works across London. They have a no exclusion policy and support the hardest to reach, high risk and most vulnerable young people. This role is supporting young people who may have been out of formal education for several years and are unable at this time to cope with learning in a classroom, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people who are new to the organisation,You will be responsible for their induction, assessment, and transition over a two term period.
These young people have an SEMH and/or ASC diagnosis, alongside complex additional needs. They may be at considerable risk of exploitation or been exposed to extreme violence and abuse in their homes. They need someone to help. Could this be you?
This organisation has a high success rate in that young people are eventually are back in full time education or employment, and on top of that thriving, able to regulate their emotions and begin to process their trauma. An example of this is a young person with previous low school attendance, multiple exclusions, PTSD, and extremely aggressive behaviour. After being assigned a specialist mentor and working together, this young person has now transitioned to a specialist school, has a 93% attendance record, is part of restorative groups helping him to process his trauma and is thriving with a bespoke curriculum.

Are you passionate about supporting young people with behavioural, social, emotional and mental health needs?
We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Central London that caters for students from primary to year 11 across two sites,. The school provides short- and long-term placements for young people unable to attend mainstream education due to behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional diagnoses such as ASC and ADHD.
They are seeking an experienced Pastoral Mentor to join their team, delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring interventions to students in Key Stage 3. The ideal candidates will already have experience mentoring and supporting young people with behavioural, social and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities for The Pastoral Mentor Role:
Deliver targeted intervention and mentoring sessions to support emotional well-being and behaviour.
Build positive relationships to help students develop resilience and coping strategies.
Work with staff and external agencies to create personalised support plans.
Monitor progress and encourage engagement in learning.
Requirements for The Pastoral Mentor Role:
Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or in a PRU/SEN setting.
Previous experience mentoring students and delivering interventions
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches.
