About the Role

Lead SEN Teacher for Deaf Provision

Central London

Permanent - Salary UPS1 - 3 + SEN allowance 

September 2025 

We are working with a mainstream primary school based in central London that is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead SEN teacher to head its Deaf Provision. This is an opportunity to lead an inclusive, high-quality specialist setting for deaf and hard-of-hearing pupils. The provision is a fully inclusive learning environment where communication, language development, and academic achievement go hand in hand. As the Lead Teacher, you will deliver personalised teaching, lead the team, and shape the future of the Deaf Provision.

Responsibilities for Lead Teacher for The Deal Provision;

  • Teaching and learning - Delivering personalised teaching to deaf pupils
  • Implement individual Education Plans tailored to pupils with severe to profound hearing loss
  • Leadership and Management - Lead, Support, and inspire a specialist team of teachers 
  • Drive improvement through strategic planning and monitoring pupils outcomes and development 
  • Ensure EHCPs are implemented effectively 
  • Work closely with parents, therapist and external specialists 
  • Lead staff training and development
